When you’re trying to form a relationship with your readers and you want them to stick around, you should always make yourself present and let them know you are always willing to take the time to reply to comments.
In the beginning of a blog, you will probably not receive a lot of comments. But as the time is going by and the more you reply to comments, the more people will want to interact with you as well. This is a great way for you to gain more followers and to be able to keep the people who already read your posts and know you for the effort you put into communicating with them.
A great way to engage your audience is to create dialogues and to keep replying to them if they ask more questions or have more things to say. It’s easy to reply to a comment once, but it’s not as easy to keep coming back to a thread and creating a conversation. When a reader leaves a comment asking you for help or advice or simply your view on a particular topic, it is a great chance for you to write about it and show them their opinion is important to you. Once you start delivering content that they ask for, you have truly earned yourself some loyal followers.
On top of that, the more you show people that you like to help them out on their personal issues, the more people your blog will attract. That simply happens because people want to know that their opinions are taken into consideration and that someone they follow cares to help them out with their questions.
The more you post about topics your followers are interested in, the more people you will attract to your blog and those are the ones that are the most likely to stick around for the long run.
4.) Be Real:
If you wish to interact correctly with your audience, there is no simpler rule to follow other than being as real as you can. Let your followers know the real you. Talk to them about your preferences, your hobbies, your everyday life and your experiences. You will not only be able to engage them like that, but you will also be able to meet a lot of interesting people who have a lot to share, just like you.
The more you write about your life and personal experiences, the more people will feel connected to you and will want to share things with you as well. You can easily achieve that by adding some small personal stories into your blogs and sharing small bits of your life whenever you need to set an example or talk about a particular issue.
This will help you bond over a lot of things with your followers and they will feel like they know you on a much more personal level. The more they get to know you, they longer they’ll keep following you.
5.) Ask Questions:
Last but not least, a really great way for you to interact better with your audience is by asking questions. These questions are usually placed at the end of an article and they are based on the topic of the said post. In writing terms, these questions are called “Call to Action” questions, or CTAs, and they are truly a great way for you to talk to your audience more.
By using a CTA you make your reader want to leave a comment and let you know of their take on what you asked. This has only benefits to offer and it can be the start for your blog’s success.
