We are now living in the 21st Century in which most things around us did not exist years and decades back. We are living in the timeline of modern industrialization, globalization, and technological advancement. People are living a lifestyle of success, empowerment, and opportunities that are in line with how our society is. A few similarities and several differences can be pointed out easily, and it is high time for us to look into how we can take advantage and create career opportunities for the progress we are currently experiencing.
Over the past few years of the 2010 decade, several developments and industries are successful in the field of technology, most specifically the mobile industry. Every single day, people use their mobile phones for several purposes, including but not limited to:

- Finding directions to wherever we want to go,

- Reading and researching useful materials for study or work,
- Online banking, shopping, and selling, and
- Home-based online works.
With this in mind, it is perceived that as the technological advancements for the mobile industry flourish, the demands from the users will increase. This will somehow lead to the need for fresh, new ideas for application and mobile developments.

Mobile Industry: Is It Limited?
You might be thinking, “I really am not that kind of an expert with technology and would rather pursue a different career. Would I be behind the so-called advancement?” The truth is NO! Technology is around us. Whatever career we choose, technology is integrated. Without technological integration, we might be living to the traditional methods that were useful in the past decade or so. There are some things that require changes, and nothing is absolute. Changes are a constant in society, and with technology, everything can be easier.
For example, teachers nowadays are making use of technology to teach. Gone are the days of just pure books-and-chalk, as well as pure pen-and-paper work. Technology has been integrated into the school curriculums. Children need to be taught how to use technology and how to work with technology in order to adapt and understand our world at present. Collaborative activities, online educational games and applications, as well as visual aids using Prezi and Microsoft PowerPoint, are examples of how our present educators (especially the millennials) are making use of technology in their fields. That is what makes people in the Mobile Industry important as well!
Other professionals such as doctors, lawyers, engineers, scientists (especially), accountants, business administrators, and others are making use of technology in their work. Because of the technological advancements, professionals need to adapt to the changes as well, making use of the innovations and inventions to improve work and improve results.
Mobile Industry And Beyond The Horizon:
What’s amazing about the mobile industry is its involvement in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development wherein the goals demand new innovations in data collection. What drives these goals? Mobile technology does. Its purpose is not only limited to cater individual needs but the needs of the community as a whole. With the inclusion of mobile technology in the realization of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs, it is but vital to involve more people in playing the critical roles of expanding the connectivity and influence. This calls for more career opportunities not only for personal growth but also in contributing to the needs of the community.
In 2016, during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, the mobile industry launched its purpose, “Connecting Everyone and Everything for a Better Future” of which there are three important parts:
- Inclusion (Connecting Everyone),
- Innovation (Connecting Everything), and
- Influence (A Better Future).
This would only mean that the mobile industry does not merely focus on development and advancement but making use of these advantages to help the community as well. After all, throughout the course of history, the human race survives because of people’s skills to survive and flourish.
In our world at this age, there are endless opportunities that man can take. With all the advancement and innovation we have, it is but fitting to make use of these to our advantage and the advantage of the community. Mobile Industry is more than just making money and making more progress. It is using such power to help ourselves and the community. In the next few years, it is somehow patterned that there will be more things to come, and mobile technology is not only limited to programmers and mobile industry designers. Technology is found everywhere, whether it is in a hospital laboratory, an engineering company, or even a classroom. People use technology to grow and survive, and people who work in the mobile industry are the frontliners.
