Mixed-Content-Error-After-Using-HTTPS-Domain-On-Your-Blog-Or-Website
After Google release an update that if will prefare HTTPS site on HTTP site on there search results then everybody is started using HTTPS domain on there website or blogs but wit started a new problem that many of there widgets, codes hosted on external domian are stopped working as they are still using HTTP domains only.

So after started using HTTPS secure domain, you must have expirenced the below error on your website or blog when you use “Inspect Element” option in Chrome that is good for designers to get the real problem whenever your website or blog have.

Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://www.yoursite.com/’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure script ‘http://www.external.com/javascript.js’. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

So here we will fix the above error from your website or blog and will try to make your web as was it before on HTTPS so lets start it from basic.

What Is HTTPS?

Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is a communications protocol for secure communication over a computer network, with especially wide deployment on the Internet. Technically, it is not a protocol in and of itself; rather, it is the result of simply layering the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) on top of the SSL/TLS protocol, thus adding the security capabilities of SSL/TLS to standard HTTP communications. The main motivation for HTTPS is to prevent wiretapping and man-in-the-middle attacks.

What Is This Error?

Now you know that not all the world website started using HTTPS secure domain so you cant say to all to start using. Yes, they will but it will take time so until this you have to make yourself correct. Now if you read the error above again then you can easily see that it is telling that your site or blog is on HTTPS domain that you are secure but you are picking an script from other external domain that is still using HTTP domain so if you are secure then why to link an insecure domain and this is why your domain block that external file and your code stop working.

Why I Have This Error?

You have this error because you converted to HTTPS from HTTP so you didn’t have this error before but now after converting have and the other external site still on HTTP server so it doesn’t match and your domain stop that external website and all their access to your site.

How To Fix This Error?

To fix this error you have to do many things. Just a common this is that that you first find all http://www.external.com/javascript.js links in your web theme/template and remove its http: so it will become //www.external.com/javascript.js. So if you want to know that what this will do then it is just picking the external site link same as your secure HTTPS domain means the external file from where you are picking data have both domain mean HTTP or HTTPs so from where it will get request to deliver that data then the external site will deliver that data to them according to their domain security.

The simple solution is that you have to use all HTTPS url in your themes/templates must after started using HTTPS domain on you website or blog.
